June 15 2003, In just 4 month we will build a new log home in this field!

The new two bedroom log home will be built using 8 inch pine butt-n-pass log corners. This home will have a loft above the great room and feature hardwood floors.

August 8

"17 working days complete, the roof is complete as well as the log gable porch. Next week windows and logging will start soon. Consider the contractor you choose to see if they can dry your home in this fast"


Date August 29 2003

Chip Bries installs a can light that will wash the log dormers in light.
We only use Shawver Well company for our water wells. This 26 ton machine is shown drilling a well through the earth at 3 ft per minute and is capable of drilling as deep as 1845ft! Soon we will have a high quality water well for our new home.
Spanky Bartles takes a break after completing the front porch. Can't you picture yourself sitting here watching a warm summer rain.
The rustic handcrafted look is complete. Note the verticle corners on the dormers. This log home will provide saftey and shelter for generations to come. The high R value on the walls and ceilings will save the homeowners many heating and cooling dollars.
Dusty Bries applys Log Builder brand caulk, creating a sound air tight loghome. Dusty has 30 years of experience and handcrafted the
exterior light holder seen in this picture. The outside lighting fixture will mount on the verticle log giving it a flat smooth weather tight
mounting surface.

September 9 2003

We're installing a modern 1500 gal. septic system with sand filter that will provide safe handling of waste. Pump this sytem every three years and you'll enjoy years of trouble free operation.


September 26

The fireplace is almost complete. We used natural limestone to surround the fireplace. The hearth will be polished limestone. Won't this feel nice on a cold winters night?


October 10 2003

"the rush is on as we plan on handing over they keys to the new owners in 12 days. Will we make it?
Dusty is seen installing the new Pecan kitchen cabinets.
The new homeowner has deceided to bury the propane tank.
Chip is seen installing a log beam to hang a porch swing.
