Log Homes Work begins today to build a 3300 sq foot log home using Greatwoods 8 inch rustic peeled logs with Butt & Pass corners. This 3 bedroom3 bath home will feature a main floor master bedroom suite, wood ceilings, a greatroom, loft and large family room. Large log tie beams and log rafters will be installed in the greatroom. A screened porch off the master suite will provide a cool spot on a warm summer evening. |

| Dry conditions have allowed us a good week for digging the new foundation. We attempt to keep as many trees as we possibly can. | |

September 3 2003 The semi's arrived today right on time. The load is unloaded and inventoried free of charge. Note that our material on the semi's arrived covered with tarps! We only provide high quality clean building material. I've seen other companies material arrive covered with road grime, salt and soaking wet from rain. That's unacceptable for Wilderness Log Homes and Burkhart & Company. |

September 26 We've been here under 30 days and the home is up! Windows and logs arrive Oct 1st. We have the experience to do the job right, on time and on budget! |

October 3 2003 We've had a good week, installing the Hurd windows and Independence shangles. This shangle has a 50 year warranty and is installed over 30lb felt paper! Other log home companies cut corners by supplying 25 year shingles and 15 lb felt. We supply the highest in quality building materials. |

| January 15,2004 The outside is stained and complete. The chimney is being stoned now with the nice weather. Check back for interior pics as we finish the interior by March 15, 2004. |
